The Orvieto (or Orvieto) design is a very old and traditional pattern that originated during the Renaissance in the hill town of Orvieto, Italy.
Truly one of the most unique and interesting cities in Italy, Orvieto has a fascinating medieval character, mainly due to its famous Cathedral, a jewel of Gothic architecture whose construction took more than 100 years.
The main motif of the 'Galletto' (Rooster) motif is a crowing rooster which symbolizes wishes for blessings, prosperity and well-being.
